The Scottish Premier Hockey League (SPHL) is a new ice hockey league that commenced in September 2007 and runs through to April 2008. The five top teams in Scotland - Braehead Paisley Pirates, Dundee Texol Stars, Edinburgh Capitals, Fife Flyers and Solway Sharks - will play each other twice home and away to decide the overall champions.

The SPHL has signed a five figure, two year sponsorship deal with SPORTSassist, the brand new sports funding organisation.

SPORTSassist will be the official sponsors of the League for the duration of the contract, with the tournament known as ‘SPORTSassist Scottish Premier Hockey League’.
